SCREENING COORDINATOR:

POSITION: Working with the producers in organizing and arranging all aspects of movie screenings for the independent comedy feature, "The Last One..?".

PAY: NON-PAID POSITION
DURATION: 06/ 01/ 2009- 12/ 31/ 2009
POSTED: 06/ 01/ 2009

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Looking for help with lining up movie screenings for our film “The Last One..?”  Basically this position would be making a couple phones calls or sending out a couple emails and wouldn't take more than 5 hours a week, if that, of your time.  We are trying to think outside of the box with this campaign and are looking to generate buzz for the project by lining up these screenings at venues that normally don't show movies.  We are thinking bars, college fraternities or even small art house theaters would be fine.  We have over 15 bands associated with the project as well and would just like to make it an event like a movie and a performance.  What you would get out of this is production credit on our IMDB site, in on the ground floor of our company and a little taste of Hollywood from Philadelphia.  This is a non-paid position but again, you can do everything from your computer and cell and on your own time.

Furthermore, we will be trying to arrange these events coinciding with any film festival showings the movie gets accepted to and also, in the many areas of Pennsylvania that actual filming of the movie took place. You will be working with producer/ director Kevin Lapsley, executive producer Canz and our west coast coordinator in coordinating these events, so it will not just be all on your shoulders. A lot of your responsibilities will fall more in the area of assisting the producers with the game plan already established, making a lot of the initial contact phone calls, making the phone calls that are making sure that things like the movie critic from the local paper is still showing up, that the producers know where and when they have to send a copy of the movie to or get any press material off by and things of that nature.

The general areas of attention we are looking at in Pennsylvania are Philadelphia, Doylestown, Allentown and State College during the months of September through December, 2009. As stated before the movie is actively seeking film festival acceptance all over the country and also, we have music from bands represented in the movie from all over the country so possibilities of expanding these screenings to any of those towns and cities is possible. As we go along we can seek out additional help for you if our areas expand and we will actively be seeking ways to generate revenue, so this might not always be an unpaid position, HOWEVER, don't count on it EVER becoming a paid position for this project.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We could care less if you are film student or even in the film industry. We are simply looking for any person who thinks they could possibly do what we listed above. The ideal canidate would have knowledge of the Philadelphia area and be a PSU, University Park student or alumni and also have a sense of humor, can return emails and a phone call every once in awhile and is willing to roll with the punches, or if you even know what that means, all of this would help. You will have to put up with the insecurities of Kevin, a majority of our actors who are apathetic to the cause (if for some reason you are one of the actors in the movie and are reading this for some reason that last sentiment wasn't directed toward you, cause you've been great!) and be willing to have a blast while attending a couple of movie screenings over the next couple months. If this sounds like something you can do email us here with a little something about yourself between 150 and 200 words, and if you sound like someone we can work with you'll be hearing from us.
